GM Properties AB, company reg. no. 559312-2830, Backa Bergögata 7, 422 46 Hisings Backa, Sweden, is the data controller for the processing of personal data described in this policy. Here we explain what data we collect, why we collect it, how long it is kept and what rights you have.
Did you receive an email from us? See the section Marketing and email.
What data we process
- Forms on the website: name, email address, phone number, company and whatever you write in your message, e.g. when requesting a proposal, contacting us or sending an open application.
- Communication: data you provide when you contact us by email, phone or WhatsApp.
- Email mailings: name, email address, company and role for you who are a client, have been in contact with us or have signed up for our mailings. For some mailings we obtain contact details from public sources, for example the register of the Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket) — in that case the source is stated in the mailing.
- Technical information: IP address and browser information recorded in our hosting provider's logs. The website's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is transferred to Google when the page loads.
Why we process the data
- Answering enquiries and providing proposals — legitimate interest and pre-contractual steps.
- Entering into and performing agreements on accommodation or property management — performance of a contract.
- Marketing and mailings — legitimate interest for existing client relationships, or your consent when you signed up yourself.
- Recruitment for open applications — legitimate interest and steps prior to employment.
- Legal obligations, e.g. bookkeeping — legal obligation.
Marketing and email
We occasionally send newsletters and information about our services by email. You receive such mailings because you are or have been a client of ours, have been in contact with us in your professional role, have signed up for our mailings, or because your contact details appear in a public source, for example the register of the Swedish Work Environment Authority (Arbetsmiljöverket). The mailing states which source applies to you.
Every mailing contains an unsubscribe link. You can also unsubscribe by emailing info@gmproperties.se. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you marketing.
You always have the right to object to your data being used for direct marketing. If you object, that processing stops immediately.
Who can access the data
We never sell your personal data. The data may be shared with suppliers who process it on our behalf, for example for web hosting, email, messaging services, mailing tools and business systems. These suppliers are data processors and may only process the data according to our instructions. On request we will disclose which suppliers we use.
Some suppliers process data outside the EU/EEA. When that happens, we use suppliers covered by a European Commission adequacy decision, for example the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, or standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep the data
- Enquiries that do not lead to an agreement are kept for at most 24 months after the last contact and are then deleted.
- Data connected to agreements is kept for the duration of the agreement and thereafter for as long as the Swedish Bookkeeping Act requires.
- Mailing lists are kept until you unsubscribe. After you unsubscribe, we only keep your email address on a suppression list so that you are not contacted again.
- Open applications are kept for up to two years after the recruitment matter is closed and are then deleted, unless you consent to longer storage.
Your rights
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) you have the right to:
- request access to the data we hold about you (a copy of your data),
- have inaccurate data corrected,
- have your data erased,
- request that processing be restricted,
- receive your data in a machine-readable format (data portability),
- object to processing based on legitimate interest, in particular direct marketing,
- withdraw any consent you have given, at any time.
To exercise any of your rights, contact us at info@gmproperties.se. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (imy.se).
Cookies and measurement
The website uses cookies and similar storage for visitor measurement and ad tracking — but only if you approve it in the cookie banner. Without your consent no measurement or marketing cookies are set, and the website works fully anyway.
- Your cookie choice: the choice you make in the banner is stored locally in your browser for up to 180 days, so you do not have to answer on every page.
- Visitor measurement (Google Analytics): with your consent, Google sets cookies (including
_ga) to measure how the website is used — which pages are visited and how visitors find us. The data is processed by Google Ireland Ltd; see the section on transfers outside the EU/EEA above. - Ad measurement (Google Ads): with your consent, a click ID from the ad you arrived through (e.g.
gclid) is stored for up to 90 days, so that we can see which ads lead to an enquiry. If you submit a form, the click ID may accompany the enquiry.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time via the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. If you withdraw consent, measurement stops and previously stored click IDs are deleted.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, for example when we change suppliers or our services change. The current version is always published on this page, with the date of the latest update at the top.
